Negative Supply and Leica Store SF/Camera West have collaborated to make an extraordinary one-of-a-kind Made In Wetzlar 35mm Scanning kit. The MIW 35mm Pro-Kit is the ultimate kit for getting the best scans of your 35mm negatives using any medium format, DSLR, or Mirrorless camera.
Our collaboration with Negative Supply
We have been working with Negative Supply for a number of years now, and we use and love their products for digitizing our film. The birth of the MIW Pro 35mm Kit started with a call to AJ, the CEO of Negative Supply who was excited to create the ultimate package of their products. After a series of conversations, we agreed on the products to be included, and even altered the style of the riser and film holder to be modified for the Made In Wetzlar brand.
Why Made In Wetzlar?
Made in Wetzlar's purpose is to inspire and develop a community by celebrating the enthusiast mindset around 35mm photography. As Leica users and photographers, we deeply connect with the birthplace of 35mm photography, Wetzlar, Germany. In this very place, the 35mm photography began, nearly by accident. Little did Ernst Leitz know when he shot the first 35mm negative that the birth of 35mm photography would change humanity forever. A compact and easy-to-use camera makes it possible to document life from the photographer's perspective. So Made In Wetzlar is by 35mm photographers for 35mm photographers whether you choose to use film or digital Nikon, Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, or our personal favorite, Leica.
The idea of the kit as a "Made In Wetzlar" Special edition came from our desire to develop (pun intended) 35mm photography. The MIW Pro 35mm kit is a tool that is not only functional but beautiful. Negative supply spent the time and effort painstakingly engraving the Pro MKIII riser and the knob on the Pro 35mm Carrier with the MIW icon. The touches of Red anodizing on the touch points round the whole kit out. We hope that the MIW Pro 35mm kit removes the boundaries of getting great scans of your film at home and provides a beautiful tool in your home studio or office.
What Do You Need To Scan?
The MIW x Negative Supply 35mm Pro kit was designed around the concept of digitizing film using all Leica systems. The Leica SL (SL, SL2, SL2-S) system line is the recommended digital camera to digitize your film, but many systems will work. Our decision to include the Pro Riser into the Kit was so that heavier camera systems could be supported. We recommend any SL system with any of the following lenses
- Leica 90mm f2.0 APO-Summicron-SL ASPH
- Leica 75mm f2.0 APO-Summicron-SL ASPH
- Leica 24-90mm f2.8-4 Vario-Elmarit-SL ASPH
- Leica 60mm APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL (Will crop to APS-C on the Leica SL, but still a stellar optic to use for scanning applications).
- Leica 90mm MAcro-Elmarit-M ASPH (With the use of the M-Adapter-L if using the SL system)

About The Pro Riser MK3:
One copy stand to rule them all. The Pro Riser MK3 supports all formats from 110 cartridge film to 8x10 large format, and allows you to confidently scan with nearly any digital camera and lens combination, including medium format system cameras. This is Negative Supply's most ideal copy stand for full-frame DSLR cameras, large full-frame mirrorless systems, and medium format systems.

All our shipments are fully insured. For shipments valued over $200, a direct signature will be required upon delivery.
We utilize various shipping carriers, with FedEx Express being our primary choice for 2-Day and Overnight shipping within the US, as well as International deliveries.
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%. This fee is not for profit, but to cover the costs associated with selling an item. Each return is evaluated individually, and we strive to minimize this fee. In many instances, we waive it entirely if the refund credit can be applied towards another item in the store.
Please note, all returned items must be in the condition in which they were shipped. If the items are returned in a different condition, we will not be able to accept them.
We highly recommend visiting us in person to experience our fine photographic tools before deciding which tool best fits your needs. Please note that our inventory is distributed among our three stores, and what you see online may be at any of these locations. Below are a few points that we’d like to make in order to meet your needs for in store pick up.
The location of each item is indicated online. For convenience, you can choose to pick up your item at any of our stores. Once purchased, the item should be ready for pick up within 4 hours at the designated store, although this might vary depending on the store's busyness and time of day. We request that you wait for a notification from us confirming that your order is ready for pick up, to ensure the best service.
If your chosen item is not available at your preferred store, we can transfer it there after purchase. If you want to pick up an item at a different store, select that store for pick up during checkout, or choose a regular shipping method and let us know your preferred pick up store via support@camerawest.com or by responding to your order confirmation email.

We offer a concierge trade-in program for the gear you'd like to upgrade, cross-grade, or simply pass on to a new owner. This enables you to acquire the tools that fit your specific needs. The easiest way to trade is to bring your gear into one of our stores and meet with us in person. However, we also accommodate those who can't visit our stores. Our online process is both personal and simple.
To begin, fill out the form on our Trade // Sell page with the details of the fine photographic equipment or watches you'd like to trade in. One of our team members will then contact you to confirm any details we might need for an accurate estimate. We will provide an estimate that doesn’t only look at the value of your trade in but the whole picture of where you want to go. If the estimate is satisfactory to you, we can provide a shipping label for you to ship your gear to one of our stores for a final inspection and store credit. Finally, we apply that credit towards your new gear!
