We began our journey in the photographic retail space from a slightly different angle than most other camera stores. Sean and his Wife Diana opened the first Camera West store in photographic mecca, Carmel by the Sea in the early 2000s. The goal wasn't to be just another camera store but rather to be a destination for photographers and photographic enthusiasts to relish in the rich history of photography, fine photography, and the latest cutting-edge photography equipment. These sentiments carry over to our businesses today as we seek to curate the finest selection for fine photographic gear from vintage to modern.
Currently, we have three destinations for photographers in California. Our primary store in Rancho Mirage, California, serves as our base for our online sales and logistics while also being just minutes outside of sunny Palm Springs. We have a second store in Walnut Creek California that features an incredible retail space and Leica boutique and proudly serves the East Bay & surrounding areas. Our third store results from our long-time passion for Leica Cameras. Leica Store San Francisco is a one-of-a-kind Leica photography destination located in downtown San Francisco, right across the streets from the China Town gates on Bush St.
