Nikon has released new firmware for its D810 DSLR. Version C 1.10 brings with it several changes, the majority of which are bug fixes, including incorrect or absent display information, audio static resulting from the use of external HDMI recorders while in movie live view, a ‘rare’ shutter release failure in movie live view and recording issues related to the camera’s HDR function, among others.
In addition to correcting issues, v1.10 adds an external recording control option for using the camera to start and stop third-party recorders connected over HDMI.
Leica has released a major firmware update for the Leica T (Typ 701) APS-C mirrorless camera. Firmware 1.4 promises to make autofocus twice as fast, while improving the touchscreen responsiveness. The update also makes the camera compatible with Leica’s new full-frame SL lenses.
Leica also plans to launch two new lenses in 2016. The Leica Summilux-TL 35mm F1.4 ASPH will be available in Spring 2016, with the Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL 60mm F2.8 ASPH to follow later in the year.
Sony has released a new firmware update for the A7R II. Version 2.00 offers a menu selectable feature for uncompressed 14-Bit RAW image capture and adds support to output video via HDMI while using the Remote Camera Control software (still mode only).

Sony just released a new firmware update for the Sony A7rII.
But don’t be too excited yet as the promised 14 Bit RAW feature has not yet been included in this version.
The benefits of this update are:
- Improved a front focus issue in some shooting scenes.
- Decreased chroma noise when long exposure NR is set off.
- Improved Hi continuous shooting speed when using the flash.
