New Soft Shutter Release for the Nikon Df

The Nikon  AR -11 replaces the stock shutter button and allows users to enjoy soft and vibration-free shutter operation. The ebonite resin on the top surface of the AR-11 further enhances the light feel when pressing the shutter-release. Also, ebonite resin creates a unique and rich texture over time that melds with the finger. It is often used in high-end fountain pens and the mouthpieces of wind instruments such as saxophones and clarinets.

New from Nikon : Digital Fusion

This is a camera sure to appeal to those shooters who appreciate not just the look of older cameras but the simple control of its manual operation system and a thin yet durable and easy-to-grip body. The Nikon Df is a 16MP, full-frame DSLR with the sensor and processor of the D4, and an AF system borrowed from the D610, all inside a body inspired by the classic Nikon F film cameras.

According to Nikon, the ‘f’ in Df stands for ‘fusion’ – fusion of the old and the new. The ‘D’ is of course for ‘Digital’. The Nikon Df uses a 39-point AF system and shoots at a maximum shooting rate of 5.5 fps. Despite the Df’s retro look, it’s a thoroughly modern DSLR, but with one major difference – no video!
