Nikon has issued a firmware update for its D4 professional DSLR. Versions A 1.04 and B 1.02 improve the performance of the camera’s Subject Tracking AF feature in AF-C (continuous-servo autofocus) mode. The update can be downloaded from Nikon’s website
New firmware update A 1.03, B 1.02 for the Nikon D4 is now available from Nikon. The firmware update has only one modification: ”Increased focus accuracy is achieved when a lens and teleconverter with a combined maximum aperture of f/8 are used”.

Nikon has released firmware v1.02 for the D4. The update correct bugs related to memory card formatting, FTP uploading, using aperture ring-equipped lenses in video mode, displaying Adobe RGB photos on the rear LCD and more.

Nikon has released firmware updates for the D4, D800 and D800E that correct some issues of lock up while in playback mode, as well as a network/wireless-related bug. The update for the D4 also fixes an error related to playback zoom, while the updates for the D800 and D800E eliminate the appearance of a dark shadow that could appear at the bottom of frames when these models were set to the 5:4 image area.
