Salt Shaker Eclipse

Kathleen Jones, a park ranger in Palo Alto, Ca. found an unusual way to safely view yesterday’s annular eclipse. She used a salt shaker top!

And notice how the eclipse shows on the shadows in this photo of a wall sent to me by a friend. The leaves of a tree act as apertures, projecting the crescent shaped eclipse on a nearby wall.
